  Lovely meal and gluten free! So nice to have a restaurant/pub where the landlord takes the time to explain how a meal on the menu can be made gluten free. Thank you, we all enjoyed our meals. And in the words of Arnie, "We will be back".

  Not cyclist friendly - stopped by yesterday in the heat and asked the barman if he could fill my water bottle with tap water.
  He asked me pay for it with the reply "I have a water meter"
  
  What he forgot was the below:
  
  UK Licensing Act 2003 (Mandatory Licensing Conditions) Order 2010, which came into force in April 2010 and was updated in 2014, all restaurants in England and Wales that serve alcohol are legally required to give customers free tap water (the legislation for Scotland is the same, but it's a different act).   The food is made from scratch on site (including the sausages and burgers) and is b fantastic quality. Really really reasonable for the quality! The staff were lovely and it's the first place I've ever been that had baby change liners and nappy bags in the change station.

  Such a large choice of food and desserts and good portions. Lovely country pub with friendly staff, our Australian guest loved it.
